We have installed our ArcoLinuxD with this tutorial and we have a github ready to backup our settings and scripts.
Let us install ArcoLinuxD Openbox together step by step.
After logging in we type this command to get the best mirrors in our neighborhood.
Then we get a fresh sync and upgrade with this command
sudo pacman -Syyu
We have included the last command in nr. 100 so you can not forget to run it.
We get our scripts from the github
git clone https://github.com/arcolinuxd/arco-openbox
Move inside the downloaded folder and run the scripts from the smallest number to largest numbers.
We talk about the naming conventions of the scripts in the tutorial and tell you what some of the scripts do.
After typing in the terminal
we end up in the graphical environment – Lightdm with Openbox in this case.
Variety is started and you can set its preferences.
Then you can run the scripts inside the folder Personal. The technical side of the scripts are explained in this tutorial.
We create folders that we often use.
We install the bookmarks in our thunar filemanager.
We run a script to fix the inputboxes in firefox when you have a dark theme.
You can install the lts kernel. This is really just a choice whether you want to use the long-term-support kernel (lts) or not. Depending on your hardware you may consider using that one.
